The first-ever Merced County Fair Virtual Livestock Sale supported by Merced Irrigation District (MID) was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who participated in the sale to support our 4-H and FFA kids! A special thank you to all the hard-working exhibitors who adapted swiftly to the virtual sale – your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. The Virtual Livestock Sale, which took place June 11 – 13 on StockShowAuctions.com, saw the sale of 26 rabbits, 15 dairy replacement heifers and 374 fat stock, generating $521,008!

 

Thanks to the Fair’s non-profit foundation, Friends of the Merced County Fair, every dollar spent by buyers went directly to the students. Additionally, the Fair received $50,000 in add-on bids from local businesses to support those exhibitors who did not experience adequate bids on their projects.

 

Thank you for a different, yet successful sale! We can’t wait to be back at the fairgrounds celebrating the 2021 Merced County Fair, June 9 – 13!
