Do's & Don'ts At The Merced County Fair
During your trip to the fair, please bring your smile, your appetite and your sense of adventure! To make your visit to the Fair an enjoyable experience, we appreciate your compliance with our policies noted below:
These items may NOT be brought into the facility:

Open containers

Alcoholic beverages

Controlled substances
-
Weapons
-
Bicycles
-
Animals (except service dogs or show animals)

Skates, roller blades, skateboards

Unauthorized vehicles
The following are not allowed:

Disruptive behavior or unlawful acts

Solicitation, distribution or selling of product outside of a contracted booth

Scalping or re-sale of tickets
*NEW* Youth Admission Policy
To enhance the safety, security, and overall experience of all fairgoers, particularly during high-traffic evening hours, Merced County Fair has adopted the following Youth Admission Policy, effective 5/1/2026. This policy outlines entry requirements for minors and expectations for adult supervision.

After 7:00 p.m minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian age 21+ to enter.

Valid photo ID is required to verify age after 7:00 p.m.

Unaccompanied minors will not be admitted after 7:00 p.m. without proper ID and adult supervision.

Each adult can chaperone up to 5 minors.

Supervising adult must be present while minors remain on the fairgrounds.

Minors must provide contact info for their supervising adult upon request.

Misconduct by minors may result in detention and will be released to their supervising adult only.

No re-entry allowed after 10:00 p.m. – hand stamps will not be honored after this time.

Policy is strictly enforced; all final decisions are made by Fair Management.​​

Personal items brought onto the facilities may be subject to search.
