Fell in Love at the Fair Story Contest

Everyone remembers the moment they met – and fell in love – with their partner or spouse! It is a magical moment in time that started the adventure of a lifetime. As we gear up for this year’s Merced County Fair, we want to hear your stories of how you met and fell in love at the Fair.

 

To enter our “Fell in Love at the Fair” contest, all you have to do is submit your story one of two ways from now until March 15, 2024. Stories will be reviewed by a panel of judges and a grand prize winner will be selected, as well as runners-up. The grand prize is a Preferred Parking Pass and 10 Fair Admission tickets so you and your love can attend every day of the 2024 Merced County Fair.

 

How to Enter:

Choose one of these two ways to enter the contest.

 

What to Submit:

  • Your “Fell in Love at the Fair” story – 500 words or less

  • Photo(s) of you and your love, either at the Fair or just enjoying life!

  • Please be sure to also include your first and last name, and email address.

 

How will Submissions be Judged?

  • By the overall story – its thoroughness, its content, its delivery

  • Extra points for photo(s) submitted of you and your love

 

Rules:

  • Story must be about the Merced County Fair

  • Must be a Merced County resident

  • Must be 18 years old

  • Must agree to have your submission / story shared publicly on website and social

 

Timing:

  • “Fell in Love at the Fair” submission accepted February 14 – March 15, 2024

  • Winner(s) Announced on April 2, 2024

 

Timing/Judging:

  • Announce the contest on Valentine’s Day (February 14th)

  • Submissions to be accepted from February 14th – March 15th
