Le Grand FFA
Le Grand High School
Aidan just completed his freshman year at Le Grand High School. He is a member of the LGHS Agriculture Academy and Le Grand FFA. As a part of the Ag Academy, Aidan is learning about all sectors of the industry and gaining valuable experiences touring agricultural businesses and networking with professionals.
Aidan was inspired to show a market lamb in memory of his cousin Leslie Avila, who passed away last summer. She loved showing lambs and had the Champion Light AOB lamb last year at the Merced County Fair as a Le Grand FFA member. Aidan has really loved this experience raising his lamb named Q-Tip. This is his first experience raising livestock and has been full of fun experiences and friendships.
Despite the sad situation of the fair being canceled, he has maintained a positive attitude, focused on learning more about livestock, and has grown as a person. I have been extremely impressed with Aidan's work ethic and dedication to his lamb project.
Aidan has enjoyed this experience so much, he is committed to showing lambs throughout his high school career. He also looks forward to attending leadership conferences this year and being a part of our FFA Leadership Team.
Aidan would like to thank the Merced County Fair and Friends of the Merced County Fair for providing this experience for FFA and 4H members to showcase and sell their livestock projects. Their kindness is greatly appreciated!
