Merced County Fair Dairy Heifer Replacement Program for 2015
Application, Rules and Checklist are online in a handy PDF for you to view or print. The program is available to all 4-H and FFA members and qualified Independent exhibitors residing within Merced County. The Fair Dairy Replacement Heifer Sale will be held during the Fair on June 11, 2015. The Checklist for one-year Replacement Heifer Project Application is due by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.
Feb. 12 is Fair Market Beef Weigh In
All market beef exhibitors – 4-H, FFA and Independents – are required to bring their animals to Turlock Livestock Yard, 10430 North Lander Ave., Turlock, Thursday, February 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. to participate in the event. [Get details]
Big Support at Fair’s 2014 Livestock Auction
At the 2014 Merced County Fair Junior Livestock Auction, 565 animals were sold and the sales totaled an amazing $578,642.
While the number of animals auctioned was down by eleven from the 2013 sale, the total auction sales took a hefty jump. The auction was presented by American Ag Credit and Westamerica Bank.
Youngsters from around the county in 4-H and FFA, as well as independent exhibitors, watched as their market goats, lambs, swine and beef were sold at the annual auction, Saturday, June 14. The bred heifer sale was held Wednesday, June 11. The replacement dairy heifer sale, presented by Rabobank and Westamerica Bank, and rabbit meat pens were sold at separate auctions on Thursday, June 12. [More]

Western & Landscape Artist Suzanne Baker Exhibit at the 2014 Fair
Don't miss the featured showing of Suzanne Baker's art on the stage in the Pavilion. She is one of our country's pre-eminent painters of contemporary Western Art and she was the artist in residence in both Yosemite National Park and in Rocky Mountain National Park.
