$5 Admission June 13-17At the 2012 Merced County Fair, general admission is $5 – that's a 50% discount off the 2011 general admission. Kids 5 years and under will continue to get in free. Kids' Day will still be offered on Thursday, June 14, when all children 12 years and younger get in free on that day only. [Read more]

Book Free Fair Tours for Kids Now

School bus with childrenMake reservations now for FREE children's behind-the-scenes field trips at the Fair. Special tours for children’s groups from area schools, Scouting organizations and summer recreation programs will include a tour of the fair's agricultural exhibits, a visit with live animals at the "Great American Petting Zoo," hands-on educational fun at the "Super Science" exhibit, a puppet show and entertainment provided by Tadpole the Clown. Famous Christian Musicians to Open Fair

Hear The Afters opening night!The Afters' current hit, "Light Up The Sky," the title song from their latest album, is in the top ten on Billboard's Christian Songs charts! It is a bit of a departure from the grunge rock of the band's debut music, and the current album leans more toward pop. The band's other hits include "Lift Me Up," "Start Over," "Ocean Wide," "Never Going Back to OK" and "Beautiful Love."

"Never Going Back To OK" received a 2009 GMA (Gospel Music Association) DOVE award for Rock Contemporary Album of the Year. "Never Going Back to OK" entered the Billboard Top 200 at No. 41 and the Contemporary Christian charts at No. 1 and reached No. 14 on the iTunes overall Top Album chart and No. 4 on the Rock Top Albums chart.

The Afters' songs have been used in TV shows, movies and ads. "Never Going Back To OK" was selected by Grammy Award-winning producer and American Idol judge Randy Jackson to be on the film soundtrack of "Secrets of the Mountain." "Light Up The Sky" was in "The Hills" (MTV) and "The Biggest Loser" finale (NBC); "Start Over" is on the movie soundtrack, "New Year's Eve"; "Ocean Wide" has been featured in "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC) and "Army Wives'" (Lifetime). The Merced County Fair serves the local ag community plus area residents with a fair each July featuring great entertainment, music headliners, rodeo, auto and motorcycle racing, tractor pull, midway fun, rides and thrills for all ages! Our fair exhibitors present an array of exhibits which include agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, art, photography, crafts, hobbies, home arts, mechanical science, large and small animals, horse show, livestock judging and auctions. In addition to the fair, our facilities are available for rent to host a variety of events year around. We have indoor and outdoor rental facilities for trade shows, music productions, dog shows, car shows, wedding receptions, parties, club sponsored events, conventions, conferences, seminars, flea markets, farmers market, home and garden shows, even family and class reunions!
